Importing Guide Step By Step

Your Path to Driving Japanese Cars in Sri Lanka

Follow these simple steps to import with confidence and transparency.

Step 1: Explore Available Cars

You have two options to begin:

1. Weekly Auction Picks

  •  Every week we showcase 3 fresh vehicles from Japanese auctions.

  •  If you see a car you like, simply click “Start Bidding” and move to the next step.

2. Request a Vehicle

  •  If your preferred car isn’t in this week’s Top 3 picks, fill out our Vehicle Request Form.

  •  Enter your name, phone number, email, and vehicle specs (must be 2023 or newer).

  •  We will send you a Email/WhatsApp message as soon as we locate the car you want so you can begin bidding.

Step 2: Confirm Bank LC

  •  Ask your bank ahead of time.

  •  Ensure they will issue a Letter of Credit (LC) in your name.

  •  Why this matters: Without an LC, your transaction cannot be processed.

  •  Before paying us anything, confirm with your bank that they can issue an LC in your name.

Step 3: Pay the YND Service Fee

  •  Secure your bid by paying a service fee of LKR 200,000.

  •  This confirms your commitment.

  •  Note: Non-refundable if LC is denied later by your bank.

Step 4: We Bid on Your Behalf

  •  Once the service fee is cleared, YND will bid on your chosen vehicle.

  •  You have two options: YND will return your money if we bid and lose, or you can keep bidding     until we win.

  •  If successful, you move to Step 5.

Step 5: LC Issuance & Payment

  •  Your bank opens the LC after we win.

  •  The entire CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) value must be covered by the LC.

  •  You make the payment to the Japanese supplier directly.

Step 6: Shipment & Arrival

  •  The vehicle is shipped to Sri Lanka under your name.

  •  We assist with clearance, delivery, and handover.
